“All Night Reading” is a library superintending program which was planned to give students unforgettable experiences of reading in their school days. The program was implemented by the group under University Library, “Making a reading KNUE student.” The group firstly started with recruiting reading club members in 2010 in order to raise the basic and general knowledge of KNUE students through reading books. By now, it has been expanding its area via programs such as “Selecting Recommended Books,” “Writing a Book Review,” and “Communication with an Author.” And in the present, they keep their works with a new program, “All Night Reading.” In the program, students read books in tents all night long. In addition to reading, many games such as Bingo, Golden Bell, and OX Quiz are scheduled to be conducted in intervals. Because of these various programs, students could focus on reading without boredom.
In practice, the program was divided into five sessions. It started with a team mission, such as matching a movie to the original novel. Between sessions when reading books in the tent for two hours, there were also game time and snack time to thwart sleep. However, many people chose to sleep in the tent. Even for some people who kept reading a book, 4 A.M. seemed to be a big hill to surmount. At the end of the program, because the one who already drew a lot could not have another, about the half of participants got the gifts. Thus, most people looked happy with the program.
