  On October 26, the opening ceremony of the future library in KNUE was held. The construction began in 2015, and the library was completed in September
2018. The university invested a total of 25.2 billion won into the project. With the completion, students can study more comfortably in a variety of settings.


  The R-floor is a dedicated space for students and Cheongju citizens. There are cultural spaces for performances and meetings. On the first floor, there are a healing cafe, information commons, multimedia rooms, and café GongGam3. The healing café is a space for emotional communication where people can relax,
meet and talk to each other. Information commons consists of an online university directory, video lectures and so on. The multimedia room is for viewing
and borrowing various cultural contents and a theaterstyle data center. On the second floor, there are creative reading rooms, group study rooms, carol, and a play lounge. Creative rooms have a variety of open-type rooms. Students can reserve their seats by a user seating system. The group study rooms also have a number of sizes available for two to 20 people. Carol is a cozy learning space and Play lounge is a resting place for simple games. At Haedami Garden on the third floor, people can take a walk and rest. Also, libraries are located on the third to sixth floor: educational science on the third floor, humanities science on the fourth, social science on the fifth floor and naturale science, art, physical education collections on the sixth floor. The libraries are open from 09:00 to 22:00 on weekdays and 9:00 to 13:00 on Saturdays.
