The KNUE Affiliated Kindergarten held the opening ceremony on May 3 for the newly constructed building next to the Education Center for Early Childhood. This kindergarten which moved to its present location has about 111 children now and consists of seven classes including one special class. Also, a library, gymnasium, versatile room and auditorium have been built as well as a water & sand play park and a playground. Jo Sun-muk, a vice president of KNUE, said he expects KNUE Affiliated Kindergarten’s effort to cultivate talent and take a new leap toward worldwide recognition. He also emphasized the leading role of future early childhood education based on trust and love as a National Kindergarten.
Besides, KNUE has planned to relocate KNUE Affiliated High school to Osong-eup as the leader of future education. KNUE submitted the budget requirement and the agenda is on the board. Kim Seong-won, manager of Department of teaching support said that this movement can absorb educational demands while expanding classes up to 30, improve various teaching operation, and help students to study in a better environment. Also, more KNUE students can teach practica according to the expanded scale of the school. KNUE aims to start relocation business in 2024 while setting aside a related budget from the government. Although there are several tasks to solve like passing the deliberation of the Ministry of Education and financial support from the government, it is expected that this relocation can fulfill increasing educational demands.
